Víctor Vilarrasa will give a presentation on Storing CO₂ in deep volcanic areas at the Groundwater Modeling Group at Uppsala University on August 17, in which he will explain the sinking nature of CO₂ in superhot geothermal systems where water stays in supercritical conditions, i.e., at temperature above 374 ºC and pressure above 22.1 MPa. Furthermore, he will present his recently started ERC-PoC project CO2SINk.
A book chapter has been published in which we explain the effect of a suite of hydraulic stimulation protocols on permeability enhancement and induced seismicity:
Caprock Integrity & Gas Storage Symposium The CIGSS aims at providing a platform for the exchange and discussion of scientific, technological, industrial, and regulatory advances related to the integrity of caprocks in the context of geological storage of CO₂ and gas storage in general. The specialised conference is addressed to research institutes, industry, and government agencies.
