The GEoREST team (Dr. Iman Rahimzadeh Kivi, Dario Sciandra, Iman Vaezi and Dr. Víctor Vilarrasa) will present the advances of their research at the CouFrac2020 Conference this week. The talks will cover the following topics:
- Long-term effects of fluid injection and production on the thermo-hydro-mechanical behavior of a fractured reservoir
- Laboratory and numerical assessment of potential CO2 leakage through the caprock
- Modeling of the CO2 long-term periodic injection experiment (CO2LPIE) into stratified hard clay rock at Mont Terri
- Modeling coupled processes in fractured media using a continuum approach
The Chin-Fu Tsang Coupled Process Award Lecture, entitled “A journey from investigating anisotropic transport evolution in a rough fracture undergoing shear to predicting injection-induced seismicity”, will be delivered by the PI of the project, Dr. Víctor Vilarrasa, which will include an overview of GEoREST.
